Visas

Which Thai visa fits you?

The realistic options newbies actually use, with costs and how long they last.

  • • Multi-entry; each entry gives 180 days, extendable once by 180.
  • • Show ~500,000 THB in savings and remote work or a soft-power activity.
  • • Applied for at a Thai embassy abroad, usually online.

Need help with your visa application?

Instead of untangling the requirements yourself, Issa Compass runs your application through their real time system, checked against current embassy rules for your nationality and visa type. Use code ONJALEE at checkout for 500 THB off.

Dates to never miss

  • • 90-day report: every 90 days on a long-stay visa, online or in person.
  • • TM30: your landlord reports your address within 24 hours of moving in.
  • • Re-entry permit: buy one before leaving Thailand or your visa dies.
  • • Extension: apply up to 45 days before your permitted stay ends.

Overstay is not worth it

500 THB per day, capped at 20,000 THB — and over 90 days means a multi-year ban. Rules change often, so confirm with your embassy before you fly.
